The Billionaire CEO Wants to Marry Me Every Day

Chapter 871: Monthly Exam

Chapter 871: Monthly Exam

The first exam started at nine thirty in the morning.

The prep class students had already started arriving at the classroom one after another from seven o’clock, cramming like crazy.

Willow Grant was no exception.

Because she knew that the ranking of this monthly exam was tied to whether she could go take Britton University’s early admission test, she was treating this exam even more seriously than the rest of the class.

After finishing one round of review, Willow subconsciously turned her head and glanced at Summer Monroe’s seat.

Summer’s seat was still completely empty.

Looked like Summer really wasn’t planning to take even the opening monthly exam.

Thinking of this possibility, Willow inexplicably let out a long breath of relief.

Summer’s performance in class before had put a lot of pressure and sense of threat on her. Now that Summer was giving up on the opening exam herself, this was an enormous piece of good news for her.

Willow gritted her teeth and silently cheered herself on, then withdrew her gaze and once again started reviewing in earnest.

But just as she threw herself into her review, a burst of exclamations came from the class.

"The transfer student’s here!"

"He should be taking the first monthly exam, right? I heard he’s from Britton University, maybe he’ll be a dark horse, who knows."

Willow quickly looked up toward the door.

She saw Aaron stroll lazily into the classroom. As if just going through the motions, he walked up to the student in the first row and asked, "Hey, did Summer Monroe come to class?"

"No." That student answered a bit nervously, "We’re not having class today, we’re having an exam. Aaron, are you taking the exam?"

"Exam?" Aaron shook his head, completely uninterested. "I’m not into something this boring. How many days are your exams?"

"Two days."

"Got it." Aaron nodded. "Then I’ll come back on Monday."

With that, he turned around and walked out of the classroom.

Willow’s expression was hard to read.

This transfer student... came to school every day, but every time he did the same thing as today—ask whether Summer had come to class, then leave.

What exactly was the story between Summer and this transfer student?

Aaron’s appearance stirred up waves in Willow’s heart again. She had to work hard to force her attention back onto her review.

But she hadn’t been back at it for long when Mio Osborne walked into the classroom.

"Everyone, put the books on your desktops into your drawers, then rotate your desks to face the other way and get ready for the exam."

The class erupted into groans; everyone was nervous.

"Is everyone here now?" Mio asked Willow.

Willow was the class monitor of the prep class. She shook her head and said, "Summer Monroe, Ronan Kingston and Finn Ford aren’t here yet. All the other students are present."

"Don’t worry about them. Ronan Kingston and Finn Ford have already transferred to other classes. As for Summer..." Mio’s gaze darkened, but he didn’t go on. He only said, "For the last half hour, don’t review anymore. Keep your heads clear and go relax in the hallway."

"Okay, teacher." Willow nodded and took the lead walking out of the classroom.

Indeed, the closer it gets to the exam, the less important review actually is compared to mindset.

Willow took a deep breath and looked off into the distance.

No matter what, she had to get first place in this monthly exam.

With Summer gone all this time, the classmates in class had started coming to her to ask how to solve questions.

Once she took first this time, even setting aside the quota for Britton University’s early admission exam, her image in her classmates’ minds would be completely reversed.

After all, while she had done some unlikable things, she hadn’t committed murder or arson. In the prep class, grades still came first.

Willow secretly clenched her fists.

Finally... nine thirty arrived.
