Chapter 65 Super Seminary
Chapter 65 Super Seminary
As dawn broke, He Xi left first.
When Zhao Chen woke up, he was all alone. He got up, dressed, and then the golden crow's escape light shone brightly as he flew towards the female angel's camp.
When Zhao Chen entered Keisha's stone house, she was looking at a star map. Keisha looked up when she noticed someone enter. "How is Sumari?" Keisha asked.
"Release them."
Because of He Xi? Did she go to see you?
At first, Zhao Chen was a little surprised, but after thinking about it, he understood that He Xi's departure could not be kept from the other party.
Hmm, she contacted me?
You didn't take advantage of her, did you? As He Xi's good friend, Keisha obviously knew about her relationship with Su Mali.
Zhao Chen instantly felt a chill run down his spine. "No, how could that be? Don't you trust me?"
Keisha sat down at the table. "Ever since Hexi came back, she hasn't seen anyone."
I'll go check on her.
When Zhao Chen came out of Keisha's room, he happened to run into Liang Bing returning. She had just led her team to capture the male angel's stronghold on the left, seizing a considerable amount of supplies, and was feeling quite triumphant. Upon returning to the camp and seeing Zhao Chen, she rushed straight to him, looking him up and down. "Brother-in-law, are you alright?"
"What if you weren't here?"
Hehe~ I don't have any either.
"I heard you released Sumali?"
Zhao Chen felt he had the right to remain silent at this point.
Seeing that Zhao Chen didn't speak, Liang Bing stared at him for a few more seconds before asking, "Where's my sister?"
She was studying the star map in the cave, Zhao Chen pointed in the direction of the cave.
Okay, I'll go and report the situation to my sister.
Zhao Chen nodded. "Okay, go quickly."
Zhao Chen arrived at the entrance of He Xi's cave. He lifted the curtain and went inside. He Xi was writing something with a pen and paper, and didn't look up when she heard someone come in.
"What are you busy with?" Zhao Chen asked, puzzled.
Upon hearing Zhao Chen's voice, He Xi paused slightly with her pen. Then, she said casually, "I'm working backward from the divine body upgrade plan you gave me to deduce a suitable divine-level plan for us female angels."
Zhao Chen asked in confusion, "Aren't you a second-generation divine body?"
He Xi rolled her eyes at Zhao Chen. "My divine body and that of Keisha and the others were obtained through applications to the royal palace with the help of our families. Moreover, it requires the noble genes of a large family; otherwise, women cannot be upgraded to divine bodies."
Zhao Chen walked up to her, reached out and pinched her chin, lifting her face up.
He Xi gazed at him silently with her silver eyes.
"How's the research going?" Zhao Chen asked.
He Xi reached out and pushed his hand away. They were already making some progress, but they lacked experimental equipment.
Where can I find it? Or should I go and steal the male angel's equipment again? He Xi rolled her eyes helplessly and said: You've already been there once. Hua Ye isn't stupid. Do you want to go a second time?
So what should we do? Do you know?
Make it herself? It's not that He Xi can't make it. But it will take time. By the time she builds it from scratch, bit by bit, the war will probably be over.
Let's go talk to Keisha about it.
"Okay," He Xi nodded.
"You mean you want to upgrade our warriors' divine bodies, but you need equipment?" Keisha asked.
"That's right, a lot of research is needed now," He Xi said.
Is there any solution? Keisha frowned.
"There are two ways now," He Xi said, holding up two fingers to Keisha.
"Oh, tell me about it." Keisha was instantly intrigued.
One option is to go to Tiancheng Star again, but after the last theft, I'm not optimistic about this operation.
What about number two?
Secondly, we research and manufacture it ourselves.
How much time do you need?
It will take at least ten years, and possibly more.
"No, Keisha stood up. We can't wait that long. Hua Ye won't give us time either."
At this moment, Zhao Chen spoke up, "I suddenly have an idea. Have you heard of Super God Academy?"
Super God Academy? Keisha was somewhat surprised.
At this moment, He Xi, who was next to Zhao Chen, spoke up and said, "Legend has it that the principal of the Super God Academy is named Kilan. I heard that he established an academy called the Super God Academy in the Deno Galaxy, with the aim of cultivating talents for the Deno Galaxy."
Legend has it that all the super-genetic technologies of current civilization originated from the Divine River technology brought by Kieran. Therefore, the Super God Academy should possess complete genetic research equipment.
"The Kodenuo civilization is currently at its zenith. I'm just afraid they won't lend their equipment to just anyone," He Xi said.
"We don't need the consent of the Deno civilization," Zhao Chen said confidently. "We'll go directly to the academy to conduct our research. Once we're done, we'll leave."
"Kieran will not agree."
"Kieran wouldn't care at all," Zhao Chen said confidently.
Having witnessed the events of his previous life, Zhao Chen knew Kieran all too well. Known as the "God of Time" and the "Principal of Space," Kieran was a scientific practitioner of the Shenhe Civilization. He spearheaded three major god-making projects to combat the threat of the void. After the destruction of the Shenhe Civilization, he traveled the universe with the Great Clock, unifying the standards of interstellar civilization.
He was detached from worldly affairs, transcending human emotions, and focused primarily on the threat posed by the Void beings. The angelic civil war was, in his eyes, merely a tiny ripple in the evolution of the universe; he wouldn't care if the angels used equipment on his territory. As long as you didn't threaten the Academy, the stronger you became, the more you could help him deal with threats from the Void. He was actually more pleased.
"How long will it take?" Keisha asked.
"It might take three or four years for the round trip. The time it takes to get familiar with the equipment and start research depends on He Xi."
Keisha walked up to Zhao Chen, reached out and stroked his face, giving him some instructions.
"Come back quickly."
"Okay, don't worry," Zhao Chen replied.
When Zhao Chen and He Xi came out of the stone house, Liang Bing was practicing her sword in the training ground. Upon seeing Zhao Chen and He Xi, she sheathed her sword and walked over.
"Brother-in-law, Sister Hexi, are you going out again?"
"Um."
"Where to?"
"This time we're going to the Deno system."
Liang Bing was taken aback. "Deno? That's so far?"
He Xi said from the side, "Liang Bing, stop fooling around. We're on business."
Liang Bing looked at Zhao Chen and He Xi and said, "Then remember to come back early."
Zhao Chen nodded in agreement. "Okay, I understand." He Xi gave her final instructions, "Remember to listen to your sister while I'm gone, and don't act impulsively."
"I understand." Liang Bing waved her hand helplessly.
After He Xi finished speaking, Zhao Chen walked up to her and took her hand. The Golden Crow Escape Light circulated within his body, and dark golden flames rose from beneath his feet, enveloping both of them simultaneously. The golden light streaked across the starry sky, flying towards the Deno star system.
The starry sea stretched endlessly. Although Zhao Chen's Golden Crow escape was swift, the distance between the Deno Galaxy and the Angel Nebula was measured in light-years.
Zhao Chen carried He Xi through the starry sky. When they got tired, they would find a planet to land on, sit cross-legged to recover their true energy, and then continue on their way.
The flight took nearly two years to reach its destination.
The Deno system came into view ahead. The most striking feature was the three planets in the very center. Two of these planets were orbiting the same star.
Legend has it that when the people of Devon look up, they can see the lights of the Promise Star at night. The two civilizations shine brightly in the starry sky, prosperous and orderly.
Zhao Chen retracted the Golden Crow Escape Light and hovered outside the atmosphere of Devon Star.
A short while later, a small shuttle rose from the planet and took them in. They were greeted by a middle-aged scholar who introduced himself as Jack, a student from the Super God Academy. He looked at Zhao Chen and his companion.
Who are you people, and what is your purpose in coming here?
We come from the Angel Galaxy. Our brothers and sisters have been enslaved by the Angel King Hua Ye, and we are a rebel army. We have come to visit the principal and borrow the academy's laboratory to enhance the strength of our rebel army.
"You guys wait here, I'll go ask for you," Jack said before leaving.
Jack returned shortly afterward, accompanied by a handsome young scholar. The scholar introduced himself, "My name is Carl. The principal is already waiting for you." Carl said calmly.
Then he led them into the academy, through a long corridor, to an office located deep within the academy. The office door was open, and inside stood an elderly man with white hair, his back to the group.
"Principal, Ms. He Xi and Mr. Zhao Chen have arrived." After saying this, Karl left.
Kieran turned to look at them. His gaze swept over them, without any pleasantries or formalities, and he said directly, "The lab has an astronomical computer. You can look it up yourself if you need anything. Once you're done, you can leave immediately without disturbing the normal operation of the academy."
Zhao Chen nodded. "Understood."
Kieran didn't say anything more, and turned around as if to see the guest out.
He Xi and Zhao Chen exchanged a glance, said nothing, and turned to walk towards the laboratory.
The laboratory at the Super God Academy was enormous. One entire wall was lined with dark communication terminals, connected to Kieran's celestial computer. This was the second most powerful computing system in the known universe, second only to the Great Clock. He Xi sat down in front of the terminal, retrieved her data, and began the connection.
Zhao Chen sat cross-legged at the entrance of the laboratory, guarding it. His divine sense spread out, covering the entire perimeter of the laboratory. He would know immediately if anyone approached.
But no one bothered them; neither Kieran nor Karl came. People came and went in the academy, but no one asked a question; they were all clearly busy with their own affairs.
He Xi worked in the laboratory for several months. She used Kilan's celestial computer to repeatedly deduce the super gene scheme of the female angel.
She didn't start from scratch—she had the technical data on the male angel's divine body, her own years of research and accumulation of data, and the computing power support provided by Kieran.
The simulations failed time and time again.
Zhao Chen watched her busy figure, but there was nothing he could do to help. This wasn't his area of expertise; he could only stay here and prevent anyone from disturbing her.
In the third year, He Xi's research finally made a breakthrough. The data stream stabilized on her dark communication interface, and a green notification popped up.
He Xi stared at the frame for a long time, her eyes slightly moist.
She thought of her fallen comrades. Her sisters, her compatriots, fell one after another. Just because the female angels lacked their own divine technology, they could only fight Hua Ye's army head-on.
But now, she finally has the possibility to change all of this.
He Xi closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and backed up the data to her own dark communication dimension. Then she stayed in the laboratory for several more months. During this time, He Xi used Kilan's celestial computer to complete the complete set of design drawings for the upgraded equipment.
"That's fine."
Zhao Chen looked at her. "Shall we go back?"
"Yes, I'll need equipment to implement the upgrade when we get back," He Xi said. "I can make the equipment myself. I have the materials, and the plan is already in place; all I need is time."
"How long will it take?"
"About six months."
Zhao Chen nodded, "Then let's set off quickly."
On the day they left, Karl stood at the academy gate to see them off.
"The headmaster asked me to tell you," Karl said calmly, "knowledge is meant to be shared, not hoarded. He doesn't care what you do with it. But one thing—don't use it to create meaningless killing."
Zhao Chen gave him a strange look. "I'll say the same thing to you."
"What do you mean by that?" Karl looked puzzled. He Xi, standing beside him, also looked at Zhao Chen with a puzzled expression.
Zhao Chen then deliberately kept everyone in suspense, saying, "You'll find out later."
Karl said nothing more and turned back to the academy.
As the golden crow's light shone, Zhao Chen and He Xi flew away from Devon Star and headed towards the Angel Nebula.
Zhao Chen flew with He Xi for nearly two more years before finally returning to Keisha's camp.
Zhao Chen dispelled his escape light and landed on the outskirts of the camp with He Xi. After landing, He Xi deliberately kept her distance from Zhao Chen. The two walked into the camp one after the other.
Keisha then came out of the stone house and looked at them.
"You're back?"
"You're back," Zhao Chen said. Then he walked towards Keisha and put his arm around her waist. The two gazed at each other silently.
He Xi then returned to the stone house first.
