No demons in all realms

Chapter 34 The Mystery of My Origins

Chapter 34 The Mystery of My Origins

"I have broken through to the Celestial Immortal realm. Now you can tell me the whereabouts of my parents, right?" Su Yang's voice still carried a hint of madness.

"No matter what I say, you have to listen to me calmly, okay?" Ye Jing looked at Su Yang's current state and was very worried.

"I promise you!"

"My father told me that the Demon Emperor and his wife have... perished..."

Su Yang was as if struck by lightning. "What did you say? They...they're all dead?" Su Yang's tone was filled with disbelief.

"Yes, calm down, you must calm down."

"Okay, so how did they perish?" Su Yang's words were as calm as still water, without any ripples.

Ye Jing began to tell the story of the Upper Realm:

"The Upper Realm is divided into seven realms: Immortals, Demons, Buddhas, Monsters, Spirits, Strange Beings, and Flowers and Insects."

"More than 20 years ago, the demon realm became the top power among the seven major forces, and no single power was willing to contend with it."

"The Celestial Realm, together with the Buddhist Realm, the Spirit Realm, and the Flower and Insect Realm, have joined forces to besiege the Demon Realm. Our Realm and the Demon Realm originally wanted to provide assistance, but they were delayed by the Flower and Insect Realm and were unable to do so."

"In that battle, the demon realm was nearly wiped out. In the end, the demon emperor You Tianming self-destructed, which greatly damaged the vitality of the other realms. The immortal emperor, the Buddha, and the spirit emperor were all seriously injured."

"That battle was earth-shattering and awe-inspiring. The Demon Emperor and Empress fought to the death to save the Demon Clan."

"Our parents were as close as brothers. Before we were even born, our parents had already arranged a marriage between us."

"You are the only bloodline of the Demon Emperor and his wife. You also have an older brother, who is your parents' adopted son. His cultivation is truly remarkable, and he may be the biggest obstacle to your becoming an emperor in the future."

"I've said all I know."

Su Yang clenched his fists and stood there without saying a word, his murderous aura almost tangible.

"The demon realm, the Buddhist realm, the spirit realm, and the flower and insect realm—none of you will escape."

Su Yang had long hair and wore dark red clothes. He was surrounded by a faint red and black aura, making him look like a member of the demon race.

Perhaps it was because the commotion from the Eighth or Ninth Heavenly Tribulation was too great.

Suddenly, a powerful aura descended from the sky. That aura was not from the human realm; it carried the pressure of the celestial realm and a sharpness that did not belong to this world.

Ye Jing's expression changed. She stood up, walked into the courtyard, and looked up at the sky.

"Little blind man, my mission is complete, and I've seen you. I'm leaving now."

A crack appeared in the sky, from which blinding white light shone. Two figures emerged from the light, clad in silver-white armor, with cold, stern faces and radiating astonishing spiritual energy.

The two men walked up to Ye Jing and knelt on one knee. "Your Highness, we are here on His Majesty's orders to escort you back to the palace."

Ye Jing stood there, her expression changing repeatedly before finally settling on a bitter smile.

She turned around and looked at Su Yang.

"You've already reached the Celestial Realm, almost surpassing me. You're now unrivaled in the mortal world."

Su Yang faced her, his face filled with reluctance, and... madness... His hand gripped the fan tightly.

"You've been playing for so long, it's time for you to go back." Su Yang laughed, a wild laugh.

Ye Jing nodded.

"You've stayed in this lower realm for far too long."

Ye Jing nodded again, "Yes, it's been five years. I've been very happy these past five years. I accept you as my fiancé."

"When can we meet? I...I can't bear to part with you..."

Ye Jing's eyes reddened.

She walked up to Su Yang, reached out and took his hand. Su Yang's hand was still the same, very cold, with rough knuckles and calluses all over.

"Little blind man." Ye Jing's voice was a little hoarse.

"Um?"

"I'll be waiting for you in the Upper Realm, waiting for you to break through to the True Immortal Realm."

Su Yang paused for a moment, then said, "What if I never break through to True Immortal in my lifetime?"

"I believe you," Ye Jing said with a smile. "At worst, I'll wait for you my whole life."

Su Yang did not answer.

Ye Jing tiptoed and gently kissed his forehead.

"Don't die, I'll always be waiting for you."

Su Yang's lips curled slightly. "I won't die. Don't forget I'm a genius."

Ye Jing smiled, but as she smiled, tears began to fall uncontrollably.

She released Su Yang's hand and turned to walk towards the two silver-armored men.

A man in silver armor handed Su Yang something resembling a scroll. "This is an imperial edict from another world. The alien king ordered me to deliver it to you."

The white light shone again, the crack opened again, and Ye Jing stepped into the white light, glancing back at Su Yang.

Su Yang stood there, facing her direction, motionless.

"Little blind boy!" Ye Jing called out.

"I'm here!" Su Yang shouted back.

"I'm leaving!"

Su Yang didn't speak, he just nodded.

The white light disappeared, the crack closed, and the sky returned to its original color.

Ye Jing is gone.

Su Yang stood there, in the courtyard of Guanghan Academy, under the old locust tree, for a long time.

The wind blew, blowing his wine-red robes, his disheveled hair, and his tears...

Su Yang raised his head and faced the sky.

"Wait for me, it won't be long," he said softly.

He opened the otherworldly decree, and a golden character was engraved in mid-air.

"Nephew, how have you been these years? I believe my daughter has already explained your situation to you. Your father and I were very good brothers, and I was truly powerless to help him back then."

"The calamity you just unleashed was far too great. The two masterminds, the Immortal Realm and the Buddhist Realm, have never ceased their pursuit of you."

"Be careful in the lower realm, the upper realm will definitely send assassins to hunt you down. Although we've been betrothed since childhood, marrying my daughter won't be so easy. At the very least, you'd better stay alive."

Su Yang bowed towards the golden characters in the sky, "Thank you for the reminder, King Yi. I am very grateful."

"Hahahaha!"

A hearty laugh echoed from the sky, and then the imperial edict in Su Yang's hand spontaneously combusted, eventually transforming into spiritual energy that dispersed in all directions.

Su Yang decided to leave Guanghan Academy, as staying there would only harm the ordinary people there.

He instructed his disciple, "Young Wang, you have cultivated a righteous spirit. From now on, you will be the headmaster of Guanghan Academy. You must always remember your original aspiration: this academy is established so that all poor students in the world can afford to study!"

"Mr. Su, are you leaving?" Several of Su Yang's disciples asked one after another.

"Yes!" Su Yang looked at the children who had grown up with relief. "I may not be coming back again. Please take good care of yourselves."

The young students all cried. They remembered how Su Yang had taught them for more than ten years, enabling children like them who couldn't afford to go to school to study the classics.

"Alright, alright, stop crying. It's too sad. All good things must come to an end. We'll meet again someday..."
